Please note that all listed events are subject to any COVID related regulations applicable at the time. Please check.

  • Coffee & Cake Stall- 1st Sunday of every month 11am- 3pm from Sunday 4th July 2021 and thereafter 1st August, 5th September & 3rd October. No booking needed.
  • Coffee, cake & music– On Sunday 5th September, the Helensburgh Oratorio Choir will return for another concert from 2pm and on 3rd October we have the Dorian Choir performing a short (15 minutes) concert from 2 pm.
  • Also on the 5th September there will be a stall featuring the Helensburgh Beekeepers (and this may be repeated on Sunday 3rd October. No bees but lots of information about these important and fascinating insects plus honey and other related items for sale!
  • Sunday 3rd October we also have the Glorious Gardeners Trail around the garden from 10 am to 4-30 pm. Hunt for the gardeners knitted by the Cardross Knitting Circle to claim your prize. Entry £2 per child.

Adult Mindfulness Taster Session: Saturday August 31st 14:00, £10

Interested in learning techniques to bring more calmness, ease and joy into your life. Mindfulness teaches us skills and techniques to help us deal better with life stresses and challenges. By practicing we develop the ability to be less reactive to the challenges we face and learn to respond in a calmer and more skilful way. Evidence shows that practicing mindfulness can reduce stress and anxiety levels allowing us to experience more joy and happiness in our lives. Come along and join us for our Taster session in the beautiful surroundings of Geilston Gardens. We will be engaging in mindful eating, walking and movement activities. All welcome.

Kids Mindfulness Taster Session: Saturday August 31st 10:30, £5

Come along for a fun session where kids will learn all about mindfulness.  The mornings session will explore how kids can work with their mind in a fun and creative way. We will learn some basic techniques to train our attention helping to grow our capacity to be calm, kind, resilient and courageous. We will explore the beautiful grounds of Geilston Gardens engaging in mindful eating, walking and movement activities. Ideal age for attending is 6-11 years.

Scotland’s Garden Scheme at Geilston Garden 9 Jun 2019, 13:00 – 1600. Paid Event. Join us for this special charity event, featuring homemade teas served in the Walled Garden, a plant sale and entertainment by local musicians.

One of the most ambitious and intriguing events that the NTS is running at Geilston this Year is the Walking Theatre Company’s Adaption of Macbeth on the 1st June. Friends of Geilston – Garden Nature Walks

Geilston Garden – Spring PhotoWalk

Local photographer, Kathryn Polley will lead a small group (12 places) on a 2 hr walk through the gardens and woodland, guiding us on finding subject matter, composition and framing.
