2027 Photo Competition

We are pleased to announce our Geilston Garden photo competition which is now open. A minimum of 12 images will be selected for our 2027 calendar.

Photos MUST be taken in Geilston Gardens Cardross. Photos that show Geilston at its best will be favoured

To enter please email your photos to fogphotos2027@gmail.com with your name and contact details together with a title for each photo.

You may enter three images per person, entry is free.

We’re running the competition until 10pm Friday 5th September 2026 to give you a chance to capture some wonderful images. Winning images will be judged by a local photographer/artist who will decide the top three images 

All entries will be shared in our Facebook album ‘Photo Competition 2027’

Three prizes of £25, £15 and £10 will be awarded to the top three photos

Terms and Conditions

  • A title should accompany all submissions, and must include the name, and contact details of the photographer. 
  • You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit, including ownership if applicable. 
  • Each entrant in the Contest is responsible for ensuring that he/she has the right and permission (if applicable) to submit the photos they enter in the Competition. 
  • Friends of Geilston will be granted the following rights to submitted photographs

      To:- 

  1. Use the photograph in our merchandise, the profits of which directly benefit Geilston Garden
  2. Use the photograph on the Internet in support of Geilston Garden
  3. Use the photograph in Friends of Geilston non-commercial communications. 
  4. Provide your photograph to other individuals and organisations for non-commercial use, Friends of Geilston related use in news stories, newsletters, reports, slide shows, displays, web pages, and the like. 
  5. Keep the files provided, and to archive the images on USB, CD or in other electronic forms, so that your photos can be used to support our objectives and be properly credited. 

Additional Information

  • Photos can only be submitted by email
  • Please ensure that photographs are submitted as jpeg (Min 1mB)
  • Please keep the original copies of your images as we may request them if you are successful and we need to publish your images in print.
  • Each winner will be given full photographic credit underneath their winning image.
    Winners will be selected by a local photographer/artist
  • Winners will be announced in late September 2026 and will be contacted via the email address used to submit the winning image.
  • No person can win more than once

The decision of the judge is final
